Tinnelly Group undertook the demolition of the Eircom Building back in 2005, taking it down to basement level to facilitate new works.
Prior to mobilisation of the high reach, the site was prepared with scaffolding and hoarding. The team stripped out the building and cleared the site of all debris, timber, stud work to walls and roof trusses using hand tools.
We completed investigative works at the severance line between the Eircom Building and The Gaiety Theatre.
A mobile crane was then used to remove mansard roof assisted by operatives wearing harnesses. As the mansard roof was removed the exposed walls to The Gaiety Theatre will be temporarily weathered using 1,000 gauge polythene fixed to the wall.
Floor slabs were demolished from roof downwards using mini diggers with rock hammer attachments, removing tri-shores as work progressed. Rubble was removed and disposed off. Sections of the floor were lifted out using the mobile crane and disposed off.
Our Liebherr High Reach was located to the court yard and commenced demolition of the structure taking it to ground level. Rubble was cleared and transported off site.
This was another project Tinnelly Group were proud to deliver.
